Maa ka Dhoodh

India is one of the largest producers of milk and has the world’s largest dairy herd of over 300 million bovines. India is also one of the highest consumers of milk. North Indian cuisine uses dairy as paneer and butter, while South Indian cuisine as curd.
Traditional sweets across India are made with milk and milk-based ingredients. Milk also features a lot in Hindu religious practices. Milk used to be produced at a household level till the mid 20th century post which the white revolution changed dairy production in India.
Maa Ka Doodh is an explosive documentary directed by Dr. Harsha Atmakuri. He is a doctor turned activist and the movie traces his investigative journey across 20,000 kms with over 100 interviews with key voices like Maneka Gandhi, Archarya Prashant. The entire documentary took over 2.5 years in the making and will premiere on 15th September 2022 at the Himalayan Vegan Festival in Nepal.
